RURAL PROSPERITY
We promote productivity and improve the daily income of our rural collaborators through a selective harvest of the coffee beans.
We seek to develop a transmission of values for the development of people and the growth of their communities.
We promote the generation of synergies with partners who have a social focus where the well-being of our workers is prioritized.
THE COFFEE HOPE PROJECT
It is our social project where economic opportunities are generated by supporting small coffee producers to implement best agricultural practices, thus increasing the quality of their coffee and improving their livelihood through a substantial increase in their sale prices, detaching themselves from the fluctuations in the international price of coffee, through our exports chain.
In December 2020, the project was the winner with the Social Impact and Innovation category in the Agroinnova program of the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES).

NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
With the agroforestry system of Finca La Bélgica, the coffee trees are grown under shade.
Worldwide, only 20% of coffee growing is carried out in this way.
Our sustainable plantation of timber trees provides the necessary shade for the coffee trees and also coexists harmoniously with the more than 100 species of native trees, providing the habitat for small mammals and many bird species.
The main benefits are the development of rich biodiversity and aquifers.
In 2015, the United Nations proposed a new sustainable development agenda with goals to be achieved in 2030. At Café L’Étranger we are committed to six of these goals to implement sustainable change in our communities.
Committed to eradicating poverty in the rural communities where we operate, giving families a decent and sustainable job.
The first stone to get ahead is a decent job where people can improve themselves through economic growth.
By exporting our specialty coffee within a global network, we will make it possible for our community to sustain itself through their work.
Our coffee production is based on a circular economy where we encourage the use of natural resources and their subsequent reuse.
With our agroforestry system of coffee cultivation we are part of the forests of El Salvador, helping to develop sustainable ecosystems between nature and man.
We seek to generate alliances at the national, regional and global levels with different actors to promote economic, social and environmental sustainable development.
